4 Underwear Care Tips – To Avoid Damaging your Undies

Following the underwear care instructions on the tag can sometimes be a bit tricky or the tags may get lost, so we’ve put together a few guidelines in order to help with underwear care, to keep your underwear in good condition and lasting as long as possible.

As you know, our underwear is 100% handmade and made with high quality cotton-lycra material that is made locally in Melbourne. Although our clothing is made to be durable, they must be handled with care to make sure they last a long time.

Care tip 1) Hand wash is preferable

To maintain the best condition and retain the stretch of the fabric, it is recommended to hand wash your underwear in cold water. If you want to wash your underwear in the washing machine, the best way to do so is with cold water using a delicates bag and mild detergent.

Care tip 2) No bleaching

You must not use bleach as it can damage and deteriorate the fabric more quickly. Always avoid any washing detergents that contain chlorine bleach. It is highly recommended to wash your light and dark clothes separately, always wash whites separately to avoid colour transfer.

Care tip 3) Do not tumble dry

It is best to hang your underwear up to dry in the shade. The heat from tumble drying may reduce the lifespan of the garment and reduce its stretch.

Care tip 4) Do not iron

Please don’t iron your underwear. The spandex can be damaged if exposed to high temperatures, reducing the stretchiness of the fabric.
